Fans will need to spend approximately $750 per day to watch the 2025 Ryder Cup, which features a match-play format between the U.S. and European teams at Bethpage Black in New York. The event will be open to the public from September 23 to 28, with the first three days designated for practice rounds and the last three for official competition.
Specifically, tickets for the practice rounds on September 23 and 24 are priced at $255.27 per day. On September 25, when celebrity players and an opening ceremony are added, the ticket price rises to $423.64. During the three competition days (September 26-28), ticket prices are set at $749.51 per day, which includes complimentary food but excludes alcoholic beverages.
Many fans have expressed dissatisfaction with these ticket prices. User @Jake Weaver commented, “From a fan’s perspective, these prices aren’t reasonable. Clearly, Ryder Cup isn’t immune to inflation.” Another user, @mykie824, added, “With prices like these, 90% of buyers will be businesses or businesspeople. Regular fans aren’t likely to spend close to $800 for a Ryder Cup ticket.”
Compared to the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone in Rome, where general admission tickets ranged from $53-63 per day for practice rounds and $265-275 on competition days, the 2025 ticket prices are significantly higher. In fact, Ryder Cup 2025 tickets are more expensive than the four major tournaments: the Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open. For example, the Masters – considered the gold standard for elite golf experiences – only charges $100 for practice rounds and $140 for competition days, while US Open tickets range from $150-200 for the main rounds. All four major tournaments exclude food and beverage services.
The Ryder Cup is jointly organized by the PGA of America (PGAA) and Europe’s professional golf organizations, led by the DP World Tour. PGAA, which owns and exclusively organizes the PGA Championship, also stirred controversy at the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Oklahoma, with prices of $18 for a Michelob Ultra can and $19 for a cocktail. Next year, PGA Championship tickets will start at $219 per day for competition rounds.
